Our goal is to make writing LaTeX documents as easy and comfortable as possible. ![]() The best part is that TeXstudio comes with a detailed user manual to help you get the most out of each included feature. TeXstudio is a fully featured LaTeX editor. To achieve this, TeXstudio provides access to data inspection tools, with built-in syntax highlighting, provides support for creating bibliographies, and more. In short, TeXstudio enables you to create and edit your own LaTeX documents in an organized environment, while taking advantage of a variety of tools designed to improve workflow and increase productivity. User-friendly LaTeX editor with tons of efficient editing tools Additionally, you can use syntax highlighting tools, you can create a bibliography or glossary, and you can include tables or formulas. Notably, TeXstudio comes with a built-in PDF viewer, multiple LaTeX compilers, and grammar, spelling, and reference checkers. TeXstudio comes with a large number of tools accessible through its panels, so to understand everything it has to offer, you can read the extensive documentation provided by the developers (you can access it through the help menu). Comprehensive editing solutions designed to improve your productivity Tools not included in the main window can be easily accessed through the TeXstudio menu. Just in case, find an image below of how the Configure TeXstudio and Quick Build Command windows should look like after all the options have been set. It’s fairly easy to find your way around the app: the main window displays file contents, including an area where you can visualize error messages, etc., while the left panel allows you to navigate between various resources. Being open-source, you are free to use and to modify it as you like. It is recommended to leave the Default Bibliography Tool as BibTeX. TeXstudio runs on Windows, Unix/Linux, BSD, and Mac OS X. Then, from the list to the left select and Add to the list on the right the following commands, in this same order: PdfLaTeX, BibTeX, PdfLaTeX, PdfLaTeX and PS Viewer. In the Quick Build Command window just opened, delete everything in the list to the right by selecting the items and them using the Delete button below the list. You can modify the command if you click on the wrench to the right of the command. The command you want to modify is Build & View, the first one in the Meta Commands list in the center of the Configure TeXstudio window. Then, select Build in the list to the right on the newly created window. To do this, open the Preferences menu of TeXstudio. The final step is to configure the custom compilation process of the tex documents. But just in case, read the on-screen messages to make sure that everything makes sense and just press next, next, install, finish. I always leave all the default settings when installing TeXstudio. If this is not the case, just go to the download section and select the installer suited for you. The web page will autodetect your operating system and will show you a direct download link for the installer. If this is not the case, just follow these steps: 1.- Go to the TeXstudio portal and download the installation files In addition, I found really helpful the image thumbnails shown when placing the mouse over an image entry in the tex document.īefore installing Texstudio, check if your LaTeX/TeX distribution already installed it on your computer. It has all the features mentioned before and I like the clean interface. In principle, you should get the same final document independently of the LaTeX editor that you use. The basic features I look for in a LaTeX editor are command autocompletion, spell checking, free to use and easy configuration of the compilation process. To have an idea of how many, check this Wikipedia article. To start, there are a lot more options for LaTeX editors than for LaTeX/TeX distributions. The choice of a LaTeX editor can be more difficult and subjective than the choice of a LaTeX/TeX distribution. ![]() I think that these 16 photos gives you an idea of the vibe. I snapped these photos at the event on the day. I really hope Parklife comes to Johannesburg (or Pretoria) next year. Overall the event was well planned and it looked like Joburgers really came to the party on the day. On the day I was carried away to a far off place by Nibs van Der Spuy and Guy Buttery, amazed by the brilliance of Josie Field and Laurie Levine on one stage, impressed by the first Plush live performance that I’ve ever seen, had the urge to dance my arse off to the brilliance of Jeremy Loops, had the privilege to carried off to far off places for a second time by Farryl Purkiss and got completely blown away by the awesomeness that is Johannesburg in one paragraph. This was the only hiccup that I had with Parklife, the rest of it was pure awesomeness fueled by brilliant musicians. ![]() The beer was cold and not too expensive but the organizers could have employed more barmen and done away with the token system they had in place – it got a little bit crazy busy at the bar at times. The food stall selection at the event was pretty awesome and quite reasonably priced (according to Joburg standards). It was a fun day packed with awesome local tunes and I think that will agree with me. Initially, the festival was planned to be held at the Expocenter of Ukraine 3 days in a row, but due to the unfavorable political situation in the city vague, then a decision was made to change the format of the festival in Kyiv. ![]() Here are my 2 cents on Parklife Music Festival 2013: Kyiv held its own event in-line with the Park Live festival on the same dates. ![]() (They can also enjoy most other legumes, like beans and peas.) Like all predictions, these hypotheses are only as good as their underlying logic. With an understanding of context and knowledge about cause and effect, we can construct logical theories of change, hypotheses about how things will unfold either on their own or under the influence of planned interventions. On the flip side, we can also project logic into the future. And by working in teams, persistently over time if necessary, there is hardly any system past or present whose logic we can't decipher. Working alone, we can usually discern the logic of a simple system. We see systems at work and find within them an inner logic, a set of rules or relationships that govern behavior. Logic in this sense refers to "the relationship between elements and between an element and the whole." All of us have a great capacity to see patterns in complex phenomena. Yet, through experience and awareness of recurrent patterns, we comprehend it, and, in many cases, can successfully avoid its problems (by carpooling, taking alternative routes, etc.). Consider, for example, the logic to the motion of rush-hour traffic. There is, however, another meaning that lies closer to heart of community change: the logic of how things work. In the world of machines, the only language a computer understands is the logic of its programmer. As a structured method of reasoning, mathematicians depend on it for proofs. As a branch of philosophy, scholars devote entire careers to its practice. By whatever name you call it, a logic model supports the work of health promotion and community development by charting the course of community transformation as it evolves. framework for action or program frameworkĮach mapping or modeling technique uses a slightly different approach, but they all rest on a foundation of logic - specifically, the logic of how change happens.road map, conceptual map, or pathways map.In this section, the term logic model is used as a generic label for the many ways of displaying how change unfolds.
