![]() I think that these 16 photos gives you an idea of the vibe. I snapped these photos at the event on the day. I really hope Parklife comes to Johannesburg (or Pretoria) next year. Overall the event was well planned and it looked like Joburgers really came to the party on the day. On the day I was carried away to a far off place by Nibs van Der Spuy and Guy Buttery, amazed by the brilliance of Josie Field and Laurie Levine on one stage, impressed by the first Plush live performance that I’ve ever seen, had the urge to dance my arse off to the brilliance of Jeremy Loops, had the privilege to carried off to far off places for a second time by Farryl Purkiss and got completely blown away by the awesomeness that is Johannesburg in one paragraph. This was the only hiccup that I had with Parklife, the rest of it was pure awesomeness fueled by brilliant musicians. ![]() The beer was cold and not too expensive but the organizers could have employed more barmen and done away with the token system they had in place – it got a little bit crazy busy at the bar at times. The food stall selection at the event was pretty awesome and quite reasonably priced (according to Joburg standards). It was a fun day packed with awesome local tunes and I think that will agree with me. Initially, the festival was planned to be held at the Expocenter of Ukraine 3 days in a row, but due to the unfavorable political situation in the city vague, then a decision was made to change the format of the festival in Kyiv. ![]() Here are my 2 cents on Parklife Music Festival 2013: Kyiv held its own event in-line with the Park Live festival on the same dates.
